Jens Vermeulen

Jens Vermeulen is a doctoral student at the faculty of bioscience engineering at Ghent University. He finished his master’s degree in Master of Science in industrial engineering: chemistry. His master’s thesis was centred around separated stable construction and he is now researching constructed wetlands in his doctoral research. Constructed wetlands (in conjunction with floating plants) treat excess manure in manure surplus regions potentially reducing nutrient losses to the environment. With his research, Jens contributes to the Nutri2Cycle project.
