Marie Lambert

Marie Lambert is a doctoral student at the faculty of bioscience engineering at Ghent University, in conjunction with Inagro VZW. She finished her master’s degree in the bioscience engineering: environmental technology at the same faculty in 2020. Her doctoral research is about duckweed as novel feed/food protein source. Duckweed has the potential to valorise agricultural wastewater into a protein-rich feed component to meet the growing demand for animal feed protein and reduce the excess of nutrients. With her research, Marie contributes to the lighthouse demo “Floating wetland plants grown on liquid agro-residues as a new source of proteins”.
